Fort Fisher Historical Battle Plan Confederate Map Print

Unearthed while cleaning out a storage garage owned by the Watters family for three generations before selling an old family property, the battle plans detailing the defense strategy for Fort Fisher’s military base could have easily been lost for good. The Watters family have been in Wilmington since the early 1900s and have an even longer family tradition of serving in the Marine Corps., some even participating in the Civil War. The map shows the locations of the blockades and shipwrecks stationed off the North Carolina Coast between 1863 to 1865.
