Miller Pope Vintage Art
Miller Pope was born in South Carolina but spent most of his career during the “golden age of illustration” in the New York advertising and publishing world.
He was an illustrator for the Marine Corps’ legendary Leatherneck magazine and studied figure drawing at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. and at the Art Students League in New City.
He was elected to the prestigious Society of Illustrators in 1957 as one of its youngest members.
He and his wife Helen moved south in the 1970s and developed “The Winds Resort” and “Sea Trail Plantation” on the Southeastern North Carolina Coast.
Miller has authored, illustrated, and published numerous books and created many fine paintings and prints reflecting his varied interests in historical and coastal themes.
Miller passed way in 2019, however, we are proud to offer his museum quality prints as well as all of his books here.
